Introduction: The Golden Path


As a solo 3D game developer working on my game Goldanniyatech, I’m always trying to future-proof my codebase and my project’s architecture.

From my experience in software development, whether it’s a 3D game, a website, or any other product, thinking far ahead about how to properly structure a project is essential for dramatically reducing maintenance costs (which means saving time, money, or both 😅).

Obviously, even after the State of Unreal 2026, information about Unreal Engine 6 remains speculative and very limited, as the engine is still under heavy development. Still, there is enough info out there to get a clearer picture of where things are heading!
